Sarah Haycroft - England Women's Hockey Team

After her senior international debut against South Africa in 2013 Haycroft has gone from strength to strength as a hockey player. Capitan of Surbiton Hockey Club Ladies 1s, Sarah is a regular athlete on both the England and GB hockey teams and has led from the front throughout Surbiton's lengthy unbeaten domestic run. A pacy, skilful player in attack Haycroft is sure to be one to look out for in this Olympic cycle.

1

Hannah Martin - England Women's Hockey Team

Hannah Martin first picked up hockey while in year four at Ipswich School and once she got going there was no stopping her. She won a European Championships Under-18 bronze medal before claiming the same colour with Team GB at the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival. Hockey is clearly something that runs in the family as her brother Harry represented Team GB at London 2012 and Rio 2016.

2

Grace Balsdon - England Women's Hockey Team

Former Kent College pupil Grace Balsdon came through the ranks at Canterbury HC's Polo Farm and in 2012 was part of Great Britain’s under-18 team who won a European bronze medal. That same year Grace was part of the Saxon Tigers team who won the gold medal in the Great Britain Super League.

3

Anna Toman - England Women's Hockey Team

After first joining Belper Hockey Club, Anna Toman has gone on to enjoy considerable junior success. She won a bronze medal at the European Under-21s in 2012 and two years later picked up the same colour at another Under-21 European event. In between those two achievements, Anna was chosen to represent Team GB at the 2013 Australian Youth Olympics where she again picked up a bronze medal. She has represented England at U16, U18 and U21 level.

4

Ellie Watton - England Women's Hockey Team

Playing hockey since she could first hold a stick, starting with Matlock Baileans Ladies HC, Ellie's another player who got into the sport following in her mum's footsteps after watching her from the sidelines. She's followed sport her whole life, all the way through a degree in Sports Science from the University of Birmingham to when she was a PE teacher at Oakham School, a job she left to pursue her hockey career on a full time basis. It was in February 2013 that she made her first England appearance against South Africa in the Investec Challenge Cup, since then Watton has found the net in some big tournaments and looks set to add to the half century of caps she already has.
